Ogema Agricultural Society

On January 8th, 1914, the Ogema Agricultural Society received its charter. During the years from 1914 - 1918, the Society concentrated on having key speakers from the Department of Agriculture. Throughout the Society's history, only one year resulted in no fair or sports day being held. During the early years, fairs were a two day affair having standing crop competitions, summer fallow and seed drilling competitions, garden judging and a large horse entry. Today, the annual Summer Fair is combined with Deep South Pioneer Museum Day.
